FRCPath Part 1 study group - Call for organisers

Calling on all FRCPath part 1 holders!

Drew Ellershaw (GOSH) and Michelle Wood (Cardiff) are stepping down from organising the study group after a number of years volunteering their time as well as Rachel Dodds (Cardiff) who supported for the 2021 cohort. We are now looking for expressions of interest from FRCPath part 1 holders to carry on the reins and take over for the 2022 cohort and onwards.

In summary the responsibilities are:

  • Set-up of the study group including candidates and session facilitators
  • Arranging and hosting virtual meetings (initial meeting for course introduction, and setting topics; final meeting for exam practice and hot topics)
  • Assigning notes
  • Maintenance of the group and notes within the KnowledgeHub website
  • Chasing outstanding notes and essay plans

Savita Nutan (GOSH) will be carrying on in supporting the group, and access to previous agendas/presentations/documents will be shared with you to allow for continuity and a smooth transition into the role.

Please note this is a great opportunity for HSSTs for ticking off some competencies (i.e. participation in national training / leading in a national group).
