Expressions of interest to join the ACGS WDC

The ACGS workforce development committee (WDC) is looking for expressions of interest from the following groups of staff to join the WDC: 

  • Bioinformaticians
  • Pre-registration scientists/STPs

The Association for Clinical Genomic Science (ACGS)

The Association for Clinical Genomic Science is the new name for the Association for Clinical Genetic Science. It was established in December 2012 from a merger of the Association for Clinical Cytogenetics and the Clinical Molecular Genetics Society with the vision of bringing together scientists working within genetics into one professional association.

Science & Technology

The Science and Technology Subcommittee will hold professional responsibility and provide professional direction on behalf of the Association for Clinical Genetic Science (ACGS) for science and technology matters.

Workforce Development

The Workforce Development Subcommittee will hold professional responsibility and provide professional direction on behalf of the Association for Clinical Genetic Science (ACGS) to support the training and educational development of healthcare science staff working in NHS Genetic Laboratories from the UK and to make recommendations about future workforce requirements.
