The Association for Clinical Genomic Science is the new name for the Association for Clinical Genetic Science. It was established in December 2012 from a merger of the Association for Clinical Cytogenetics and the Clinical Molecular Genetics Society with the vision of bringing together scientists working within genetics into one professional association.
The Science and Technology Subcommittee will hold professional responsibility and provide professional direction on behalf of the Association for Clinical Genetic Science (ACGS) for science and technology matters.
The Workforce Development Subcommittee will hold professional responsibility and provide professional direction on behalf of the Association for Clinical Genetic Science (ACGS) to support the training and educational development of healthcare science staff working in NHS Genetic Laboratories from the UK and to make recommendations about future workforce requirements.
To join the ACGS you must join The British Society for Genetic Medicine, of which the ACGS is a constituent group
