Lead Training Officer

The ACGS Workforce Development Committee is delighted to announce that Alison Taylor-Beadling has been designated Lead Training Officer for Genetics.

 Alison is a Clinical Scientist and Training Officer at the NE Thames Regional Genetic Service and has a long-standing commitment to training and development for all staff in Genetics.

 Alison's key roles as Lead Training Officer will be to:

  • Coordinate an effective network of Training Officers in Genetics
  • Organise regular meetings for Training Officers
  • Establish links with Training Officers from other healthcare science disciplines
  • Collaborate with Genetic Technologists to organise meetings and study days.
  • Act as a conduit to and from the Workforce Development Committee
  • Take a lead in national training developments
  • Liase with colleagues from the National School and Academy for Healthcare Science.
  • Organise FRCPath self help.
