The North West Genomics Laboratory Hub (NW GLH) is excited to announce the beginning of a large recruitment drive to enable the mobilisation of genomic services for the North West to meet the needs of the Genomic Test Directory. This is fantastic opportunity to joining a dynamic and diverse team of scientists, technicians and administrative staff dedicated to advancing genomic medicine and enhancing patient care through genomic medicine.

  • B8A Head of Technical Programme

  • B6 Route 2 Trainee Scientists
  • B7 Clinical Scientists

The North West Genomics Laboratory Hub is led by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and comprises of delivery partners throughout the North West, including:

  • Liverpool Clinical Laboratories
  • The Christie NHS Foundation Trust
  • Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

These partners work as a single North West Genomics Laboratory Service to share expertise and specialist knowledge for the benefits of patients within and beyond regional boundaries.

The NW GLH is one of 7 GLHs recently created as part of a national reorganisation to provide a national genomic medicine service. It is a highly regarded, UKAS accredited, NHS clinical service provider of Genomics to a population of 7.2 million people in the North West of England as well as a wide range of national and international specialist referrals. The NW GLH is currently undergoing a significant transformational change program and is in the process of implementing a Whole Genome Sequencing service as well as multiple ancillary projects to support the national genomics service reorganisation.
