Lead Training Officer for Genetics

The ACGS Workforce Development Committee is delighted to announce that Alison Taylor-Beadling has been designated Lead Training Officer for Genetics.

 Alison is a Clinical Scientist and Training Officer at the NE Thames Regional Genetic Service and has a long-standing commitment to training and development for all staff in Genetics.

 Alison's key roles as Lead Training Officer will be to:

  • Coordinate an effective network of Training Officers in Genetics
  • Organise regular meetings for Training Officers
  • Establish links with Training Officers from other healthcare science disciplines
  • Collaborate with Genetic Technologists to organise meetings and study days.
  • Act as a conduit to and from the Workforce Development Committee
  • Take a lead in national training developments
  • Liase with colleagues from the National School and Academy for Healthcare Science.
  • Organise FRCPath self help

  • ACGS FRCPath part 2 study group

    The ACGS FRCPath part 2 study group will start at the end of November. This course is aimed at those undertaking the viva in 2019. The course will comprise of an initial face to face session followed by the use of online discussion forums.
