Thank you for the feedback
received regarding the review of the Medical Genetic dashboard
categories. The Quality Subcommittee has reviewed all comments
received from laboratories. Taking into account these comments and
with the aims to simplify the collection of data via the dashboard
and to harmonise turnaround times,
the categories have been amended as per the attached document.
We have submitted these recommendations to the CRG to be
implemented from April 2015 and hope they will help to ease the
submission of data to the dashboard.
Please note that the 3 day category will be measured in working
days for the period April 2015 to March 2016 and then in calendar
days from April 2016. Please
see the reporting time targets for more details.
In order to ensure laboratories are submitting the same test
results into the same categories, the ACGS Quality Subcommittee
will perform a short audit to determine a consensus for each
category. The outcome will be circulated to all laboratories in
time for the 2015-16 Q1 data collection.
Please find attached the audit collection spreadsheet and we
invite you to complete the spreadsheet and email to Sandi Deans (Sandi.Deans@ed.ac.uk) by
Friday 20th March, 2015.
With kind regards,
Dr Sandi Deans
